Its been sinking in lately how much I have grown in such a short amount of time when it comes to Photography. I've improved vastly and have learned new things that I wouldn't have even thought of in the first place.
I've compared pictures from when I first started to pictures that I've taken recently and I'm both shocked and happy to see the difference and how much I have truly improved. Its a motivating factor to find that you're getting better every picture and that you've grown that much in such a short time.
I go back through a lot of my pictures and see things I should have done differently, ways I should have edited, the picture taking process and the way to manipulate the lighting to my advantage. Knowing what I know now, I often wish I could go back in time and provide better pictures for those clients who were my firsts for their patience and understanding. I look back in some of my albums and say "I would have done this and this differently, but kept this aspect" and wish that I could retake these pictures for them using skills I have now.
I know I can't redo things, as those moments have already passed, but knowing that I'm improving is inspiring and makes me want to take pictures of anything and everything just to improve more. The greatest reward is progress and success. I've had both in this past year and I am grateful for all of the opportunities that I've been presented.
A great big thank you to all of my friends, family and clients who have helped me grow as both a Photographer and as a person!

New Beginnings
I've come to realize that in order to be successful, we first need to know what we want out of our success and where we would like to be because of it. Lately, I've been focusing on bettering myself and my relationships through various means. I've made some friends and lost some others, learned from my mistakes and helped others through theirs. I've grown both as a photographer and as a person.
My photography is very important to me. I enjoy taking pictures, capturing those moments for others and preserving the little things that truly matter. Through these endeavors, I have found my success. To me, its not the making money or recognition part of my job that makes me successful... its the smiles upon my clients faces that is the truly rewarding part of what I do.
I love to see the joy come from my clients, the happiness that my pictures have brought them. To me, that's the biggest and best reward I could ever get. If I have a client tell me they are 100% happy with their pictures, then I feel I was successful. This is what makes success, much like the pictures and moments, its the little things that count.
